Song of Solomon 1:4 (KJV) Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.

The love of the spouse for the husband who is king. He is no ordinary person but a potentate, a mighty king.

To be brought into the king’s chambers is to be favoured by the king. To be in the king’s affection.

Here is the portrayal of the bride held in affection by the bridegroom, a picture of Christ and His church. There is gladness and rejoicing when God’s people is joined and in close communion with Christ. Amen.
