Psalm 73:24, 28 Thou Shalt Guide Me With Thy Counsel

Psalm 73:24, 28 (KJV) Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

Life for the psalmist is a close relationship GOD. Moment by moment he finds guidance and receives guidance from the Lord, His GOD till his last breath on earth.

He extols a life of communion with his GOD. He uses the adversative “But” to describe an opposing force, which the New Testament calls “the flesh”, that threatens to tear him from the Lord.

But he was steadfast. He testified that he will put his trust in the Lord GOD so that He may manifest His glory through His life. Amen.
