Mark 11:24 When Ye Pray

Mark 11:24 (KJV)  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

How is it that the prayers of God’s people are answered? Our Lord encourages His disciples to pray when He taught in Matthew 7:7-11 (KJV)  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

He tells us that the Father in heaven would be even more willing like a natural father on earth to answer the request of his own son. The willingness of the Lord to answer our prayers and give us the desires of our hearts is here shown.

Our request is carried to heaven to the Father through Jesus, the Son of God, therefore our prayers are closed in Jesus Name – John 14:13 (KJV)  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

May His people be forward to bring their petitions and praises to Him that they may have no lack. Amen.
