John 14:3 I Will Come Again

John 14:3 (KJV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Our Lord speaks of His ascension to heaven and His return to receive the church to glory and to judge the world with His saints. In His ascension to heaven, our Lord lets His people know that He goes ahead to prepare a heavenly mansion for them.

And He shall return to bring them to their heavenly home. Therefore, He comforts the church with these comforting words – John 14:1-2 (KJV) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

The church looks for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ – Hebrews 9:28 (KJV) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Amen.
