Hebrews 13:11-13 Bearing His Reproach

Hebrews 13:11-13 (KJV) For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

The Apostle Peter said well what it means to bear the reproach of Christ in 1 Peter 4:13 (KJV) But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

In being witnesses for Christ and His atoning work to save sinful men, we are often rejected and reproached, seemed foolish. Be not dismayed, may the love of God constrains us.

There is a cause for Christ’s suffering for our sake and we are taught to walk in His steps, be willing to suffer loss and reproach in bearing the gospel truth for His Name’s sake. May the Lord strengthen His people. Amen.
