Psalm 119:162 I Rejoice at Thy Word

Psalm 119:162 (KJV) I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

The psalmist rejoices because God’s Word has sustained and kept his soul protected in the midst of great persecution. He testified in Psalm 119:161 (KJV) SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

In meditating upon God’s Word, he has found strength and calm amidst perplexity – Psalm 119:165 (KJV) Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

While he committed his cause to the LORD, he trusted and obeyed the precepts and testimonies of the LORD, waiting upon Him for deliverance. He does so rejoicing in hope of the glory of God to be revealed. Amen.
