Lamentations 3:21-26 Therefore Have I Hope

Lamentations 3:21-27 (KJV) This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

It is the LORD that keep His people. It is by His compassions that we are kept alive. The faithfulness of God is to be remembered and an expression of His care upon His people.

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh Him. He is good to the man who both hope and quietly wait for Him. To be in humble submission of God care is most wonderful.

In recalling the goodness of God, let us hope in Him and seek Him with renewed strength. Amen.
