1 Corinthians 15:57-58 Be Ye Steadfast

1 Corinthians 15:57-58 (KJV) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

As we approach the last hours of the year of Grace 2023 and are about to be ushered into the New Year of 2024, we are thankful to be found in the Lord’s House to wait upon Him to guide us into the New Year. It is a time of reflection and a time of taking stock before we are launched into the busyness of a new year.

How was your walk with the Lord this year? How have you grown spiritually? How was your reading and meditation upon the Word of God this year? Was it better than the year before? Do you notice that you are having victory over the besetting sins in your life? Have you made progress in your walk with God?

It is my prayer that all of us have made some progress, in drawing closer to God. This passage of Scripture exhorts us in our Christian walk giving us God’s perspective of that prosperous and blessed life with Him.

In Christ, we have victory over sin and death. In Christ, we joyfully follow Him knowing that our labour, in holiness, in lending a helping hand, in praying for one another, is not in vain in the Lord. All praise to Him. Amen.
