Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock

Deuteronomy 32:4 (KJV) He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

The LORD is described as the Rock alluding to utmost stability. Greatness is ascribed to Him. He can be relied upon as a refuge from injustice and iniquity. He is a God of truth, in Him is therefore is no lie. He can therefore be safely depended upon to show what is right.

Our Lord Jesus illustrated this well in Matthew 7:24-27 (KJV) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Jesus is the Rock, He is the Christ of the Old Testament, the God of heaven and earth. He determines all things being the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He also is the Consummator. All who come to Him will flee from God’s wrath to come. Amen.
