1 John 2:5 Whoso Keepth His Word

1 John 2:5 (KJV)  But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know that we are in him. 

The test of our love for God is in our obedience to His Word. If God abides in us and we dwell in Him, there is a strength to love to obey the commandments of God. Here we are asked to search our hearts to ascertain if we truly are walking with Him.

The standard of God’s law is the measure of success in life. God judges us by His standard, as articulated in His Laws. By the grace of God, we find strength to keep His Word and live this blessed life.

1 John 2:6 (KJV)  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 

We have the Lord as our example and we can learn of His example when we take the time to meditate upon the Scriptures. May the Lord strengthen His people. Amen.
