1 Peter 1:12 The Angels Desire to Look Into

1 Peter 1:12 (KJV)   Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

The angels of God are witnesses to the salvation grace of God in the parable of the lost sheep and the lost coin. For the lost sheep, the shepherd has to go out to seek to find the lost sheep and to bring it home. The coin was lost in the home, the woman had to comb the house to locate it for such a one, in the house of God and yet lost – Luke 15:7 (KJV)  I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:10 (KJV)  Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

The power of God to save is well described as the work of the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven, energizing the words of the gospel preached to convict and convert sinners to Christ.

What a glorious work of redemption that God is enacting on earth today. Are we a part of it? Let us not be standing by but be by the grace of God active heralders of the gospel. Amen.
