Matthew 5:6 Blessed and Filled

Matthew 5:6 (KJV)  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

As we take time to be fed from God’s Word, the promise of Christ is that we would be blessed, the word “makarioi” is in the plural, it means fullness of happiness. In reading, in listening to a sermon, in reading a Christian book, we are nourished and strengthened in the heart. The Spirit of God ministers to rejoice in our hearts.

When we follow hard after God, being directed to do His good will, our life is wholesome. Our Lord fills our hearts with understanding, with peace when we make right with Him and do what is right in God’s sight, we build our lives on the solid foundation of Chrst.

Matthew 7:24-25 (KJV)  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Amen.
