Micah 6:8 What is Good?

Micah 6:8 (KJV)  He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

The prophet Micah summarized the tenets of godly living with three aspects of the spiritual character that jolts us to learn and follow and obey!

To do justly, emanating from the righteous character of God to always seek to do right with His laws as our yardstick and His grace as our enabler.

To love mercy, from the fact that with the LORD we have received mercy, therefore, it behoves us to live showing forbearance and patience and forgiveness toward the undeserving.

To walk humbly with which is the entrance to God’s kingdom. A tender heart that understands his own lost estate and utter lack, requiring the LORD’s forgiveness and guidance, freed from the bondage of a haughty spirit.

Thank God for imparting His goodness to us. Amen.
