Ephesians 1:7 The Riches of His Grace

Ephesians 1:7 (KJV)  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

The riches of God’s grace accord to sinful man redemption through the blood of Christ shed for the forgiveness of his sins. Sin was dealt with when Christ suffered the penalty for sin on the cross at Calvary two thousand years ago.

Christ’s death on the cross paid in fullness the sins of all who by the riches of God’s grace come to Christ in poverty of spirit, mourning for their sins. They shall be saved to the uttermost and the wrath of God for sins they have committed will be averted. The penalty for this is eternal death, a permanent separation from God in hell.

And so, we have affirmed with the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:6 (KJV)  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Amen.
