Psalm 55:16-17 Call Upon God

Psalm 55:16-17 (KJV)  As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

The psalmist’s testimony is living a life of faith in God, beginning in faith and continuing in faith. He testified of his daily prayer life. When he calls upon God, the LORD saves him. Hence, his dependence upon the LORD saw him seeking Him in the evening, morning, and noon. In other words, there was incessant communion.

How did he pray? He shared that he cried aloud. Whether in an audible voice or crying out in his heart, he unreservedly sought the LORD as his only recourse. He is confident that his prayers will be answered. His voice will be heard. The LORD will not withhold any good thing from him.

As he pens the faithfulness of God in caring for Him, he gives God the glory extolling for our learning the blessed life of leaning upon the everlasting arms. Amen.
