Psalm 73:28 In the LORD

Psalm 73:28 (KJV)  But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

In walking with the LORD, the psalmist saw His works of righteousness. He was glad the LORD taught him His ways when he sought Him. In drawing near to God, he received counsel, comfort and care.

In hindsight, he saw the blessing of seeking the LORD. He saw the plight of the wicked and their sad end. He thanks Him for the precepts of His Word that have made him wise unto salvation, kept in the path of holiness, protected from the wiles of the evil one.

He recounts and gives thanks for the goodness of the LORD that he has tasted in the seasons of life wherewith he rejoices. And having renewed his trust in the LORD that he would keep on following him. God’s blessing therefore follows. Amen.
