Psalm 20:1-5 Send Thee Help From the Sanctuary

Psalm 20:1-5 (KJV)  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

In the day of trouble, the people of God have their LORD to defend them. Hearing the prayer of His people, He sends help from the sanctuary, the place of His throne. His power and presence make the difference.

The people of God rejoice in thy salvation, by faith they have pleaded, and in faith, Thou answers to provide and protect. Therefore, Thy people testify and praise Thee for being a refuge for them in times of trouble.

Truly, Thou guides Thy people by Thy counsel, and we have been helped. Therefore, the people give thanks and praises to Thee, glorying Thy Holy Name. Amen.
