John 8:31 Continue In My Word

John 8:31 (KJV)  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

There is a persevering strength to obedience to Christ’s commands that every true disciple of Christ. Faith to believe that Jesus is Christ, the Son of God. And gladness and joy to walk with the Master.

Jesus fed the 5000 hungering seekers, and soon many left. Did he not say to His disciples – John 6:67-68 (KJV)  Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 

Here is seen the persevering nature of true faith. True faith may be weak and needs to be strengthened through trials and tests, it shall come forth as gold tried in the fire, with enduring praise! Amen.
