Psalm 5:7 In Thy Fear Will I Worship

Psalm 5:7 (KJV)  But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Worship is the utmost virtue of the redeemed. And coming to the LORD, coming to His house, to worship toward His Holy Temple is the greatest of privilege. The access to God without being rejected, the psalmist reveals is in fear of the LORD.

There, in God’s house, is much mercy, and many blessings from Him, undeserved. We come by the merits of the LORD, the Son of God, by which the Holy Temple represents and by which sacrifice is made for our atonement.

The psalmist begins the day by meditating upon the LORD and drawing near to Him – Psalm 5:1-2 (KJV)  To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

Psalm 5:3 (KJV)  My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Our prayers are heard, our prayers received and the LORD’s blessings outpoured. Amen.
