Psalm 77:19 Thy Way and Thy Path and Thy Footsteps

Psalm 77:19 (KJV)  Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.

The LORD leads and guides His people through His Word. His ways and His paths and His footsteps are often not traceable to the human eyes. But He is recognized and acknowledged because He expresses Himself in His Word to reveal Himself for our learning.

When Job was tried, he was not aware that his trials were framed in heaven in the conversation between God and Satan. However, he did see the calamity that befell him and seemed to indicate that God was against him. For Job, he was guided to keep faith in God amidst His trials.

Job testified in the midst of his trials – Job 13:15 (KJV)  Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Job 19:25-27 (KJV)  For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

May His Word be our guide to affirm His ways before us. Amen.
