Romans 10:4 Christ Fulfilled the Law to Establish Righteousness on Our Behalf

Romans 10:4 (KJV)  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Christ fulfilled all of God’s laws to establish righteousness on our behalf. In the sight of God, when He sees the reconciled sinner, He sees Christ, who is our righteousness. In other words, Christ was our righteousness. Through Him or in Him, we are made right with God, we have access to God the Father.

And this blessed state of being called “righteousness” in the sight of God, or being “right with God” comes when we believe in the finished work of Christ in His life, His death and His resurrection from the dead.

To be reconciled with God, sinful man needs to come to Christ as the Apostle Paul so gracious expressed in Romans 10:8-10 (KJV)  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Amen.
