Proverbs 3:21-24 Keep Sound Wisdom and Discretion

Proverbs 3:21-24 (KJV)  My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

The Word of God imparts knowledge and wisdom and discretion to the seeker, aided by the Holy Spirit of God. Wisdom comes with God granting insight from His Word to understand His will and the grace to walk in it. Discretion is given to know how to walk therein.

With His guidance, we walk in safety and shall not stumble is the thought for our meditation. Day by day, He shows the way by which we should walk. This wonderful provision of God is a constant promise in the Scriptures.

Psalm 121:4-8 (KJV)  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

The day ends with reflection and casting our cares upon Him and finding rest in Him. Amen.
