Psalm 4:7 Gladness in My Heart

Psalm 4:7 (KJV)  Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

For the psalmist, his joy comes from the LORD. He acknowledged, “Thou hast put gladness in my heart.” The sufficiency of the LORD’s presence with him far exceeds the riches of this world.

He bids us therefore to offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put our trust in the LORD (Psalm 4:5).

Though there are many contrary voices that seek to confuse and contradict him, he is firmed in his trust in the LORD – Psalm 4:6 (KJV)  There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

Praise the LORD for true faith! Amen.
