Isaiah 52:7 How Beautiful Upon the Mountains

Isaiah 52:7 (KJV)  How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

The man who shares the good tidings of salvation in Christ and points or publishes the way to true peace is beautifully described as a blessed messenger of the Lord. He directs men to God and helps them to see God reigns overall.

Otherwise, men are lost on their own if no one enlightened of God would be burdened to carry that light to them. The ready feet though battered and weary that carry the gospel are beautiful in the sight of God and in the final analysis their tremendous contribution to the blessing of many in the eternal state because they have come to faith in God through Christ.

When the Apostle Paul makes his missionary journey, he literally walked thousands of kilometres, over many mountain ranges to reach the unreached and to save to unsaved. He quoted Isaiah also when he wrote in Romans 10:15 (KJV)  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Indeed, we owe our spiritual blessing to those who through many obstacles brought the gospel to us. We bless God for their good work. Amen.
