I. Recounting with Thanksgiving
(1) 1 January 2022
Reading through the Bible in One Year was launched again to encourage members and friends to develop the spiritual discipline of reading through the Bible on a yearly basis.
(2) 1 January 2022
Daily Devotion from Selected Verses is published in the church website and app for the edification of members and friends.
(3) 2 January 2022
A new series of messages on the Lord’s Day from the Book of Exodus began on 21 November 2021 and continued through the year 2022.
(4) 2 January 2022
Adult Sunday Class continues on the Book of 1 Corinthians which began on 14 November 2021 and through the year 2022.
(5) 30 January 2022
BHBPC’s 8th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service. The theme was “Thy Kingdom Come” (Matthew 6:10).
(6) 6 February 2022
The Worship Service was arranged as a Bible Study to facilitate worship for all members and friends regardless of vaccination status for 13 weeks till 24 April.

Praise the Lord for the 4th Anniversary of the Mandarin Outreach Service at 10 am with the message “The Battle Begins” (Exodus 7:1-25).

Holy Matrimony of Lim Zhuo Yan and Grace Ho. Exhortation: From Marriage to Married Life – The Covenanted Marriage Life (Psalm 128).

The 7th Anniversary of YF/YAF was commemorated with “The Goodness of Thy House” message taken from Psalm 65:4.

Thank God for the baptism of Mdm Lim Chor Kheng at her home witnessed by her husband Mr Yew, sister-in-law June Yew and Christian helper Alma.

BHBPC’s 8th Annual Congregational Meeting was held after worship service with an exhortation from Psalm 34.
(12) 15 April 2022
Good Friday Service was held at the Worship Centre at 730pm. Message: Wounded for Our Transgressions (John 19:23-42). Thank God for blessed in-person worship.
(13) 17 April 2022
Sunrise Service was held in the Worship Centre at 615 am with the exhortation “He Must Rise” (John 20:1-23).
(14) 7 May 2022
Our member Sister Lucy Ting went home to be with the Lord on the evening of 7 May. Vigil Services nightly from 8 – 10 May. Funeral and Burial on 11 May.
(15) 29 May 2022
A Special Thanksgiving Service was held on 29 May 2022 to remember the Lord’s goodness in sustaining the church through 13 weeks of Bible Study from 6 February to 24 April. The message was entitled “The Sacrifice of Thanksgiving” (Psalm 116:1-19). It was the first time refreshment was served at the Fellowship Hall since the pandemic started in 2020.

The Amazing Grace Family Devotional on the Gospel of Mark was printed in 2 volumes with 36 and 40 individual devotions respectively extracted and edited from JC Ryle’s Expository Thoughts on the Gospel of Mark with a selected hymn from the Revival Hymns and Choruses for each devotion.
(17) 22-25 June 2022
BHBPC’s 9th Annual Bible Camp was held in Conrad Hotel from 22 – 25 June 2022. There were 70 participants. The theme of the camp was “Be Strong In the Lord” (Ephesians 6:10). There were 8 theme messages. Lucas Lek gave the two-morning devotions on 23 and 24 June.

Pastoral service rendered for the home-going of Mdm. Phoon Chiew Hoi on 30 July 2022. Vigil Service was held on 1 August and the funeral service and burial were held on 2 August 2022.

Weekly Newsletter “A Time to Keep Silence, And a Time to Speak” to appeal against the repeal of Section 377A of the Penal Code.

Gospel Rally 2022 was held in the Mandarin Outreach Service and the English Service. Message: Life Through His Name (John 20:31). There were 4 new visitors in English and 2 new visitors in Mandarin Service. Thank God for a blessed time of witnessing.

Commemoration of 16th Century Protestant Reformation Sunday, with a message entitled
“The Core of the Reformation” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) by Lucas Lek.

Family Day Retreat was held at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering with the theme “The Faithfulness of God.”

Appointment of Rev Lek as Licensed Solemnizer by the Registry of Marriage on 20 December 2022.

Planner 2023 prepared by Lois Lek was delivered for distribution.

Christmas Praise Service was held at the Worship Centre with the message “God With Us” (Matthew 1:18-25).
(26) 25 December 2022
Baptismal Services were held at the Mandarin Outreach Service and the English Worship Service. Joel Toh Chen Yi was reaffirmed in the faith, and Nikesh Nair and Stephen Shum Hon Fei were baptised. Daniel Boon Suan Chee was received into membership.
(27) 31 December 2022
Year-End Service was held at the Worship Centre with a message entitled “Christ Will Build His Church” (Matthew 16:13-18).
The Lord led us by His great grace through the year 2022. It has been the most challenging for the church since its inception. All praise to our Lord for His sustaining grace.
II. 9th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service
God willing, we shall gather on 29 January 2023 for the 9th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service of the Blessed Hope Bible-Presbyterian Church. By the grace of God, He has led the church through this journey of being a witness for Jesus Christ in the Dairy Farm vicinity since 28 January 2014. May the Lord be glorified in our worship of Him. Amen.
