Romans 1:7 Beloved of God

Romans 1:7 (KJV)  To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Writing to the church of God in Rome, the Apostle Paul endeared himself to them, he addressed them as beloved of God. It is God who first loved us, we are precious in His sight. In the Lord is imparted to us His grace and His peace. What a great privilege!

To think of our life as graciously given by God, preserved and carefully kept, and we are encouraged and reminded of our privileged status in Christ, the Apostle Paul seeks to strengthen the faith of these dear ones whom he reminded to be saints, set apart by God for future glory.

All praise to Him for enabling us to preview and review our spiritual blessings in Christ. It is apt to be reminded how much we are loved by the Lord and how we ought to love Him with our heart, soul, mind and strength. Amen.
