1 Corinthians 1:30 Abiding in Christ

1 Corinthians 1:30 (KJV)  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

The blessing of abiding in Christ is given to the foolish and weak ones for God’s glory.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 (KJV)  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.

To these, is made wisdom, righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Truly as Christ said in Matthew 5:3-4 (KJV)  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

When we realize our inadequacies and come to Christ, He bestows us His wisdom. When we come to Him with our sins, He clothed us with His righteousness. when we seek Him, He sets us apart for Himself and makes us more like Himself and finally, we arrive at our final eternal abode, the heavenly mansion that Christ prepares for us.

May His truth encourage our hearts to forsake the world and take up the cross and follow Christ. Amen.
