Isaiah 26:3 In Perfect Peace

Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Trusting God involves imbibing His Word with the help of the Holy Spirit through prayer. And it is the promises of God’s Word that undergirds, guides the mind, and stabilises the heart, granting peace to our soul. In other words, God’s calming presence is precious.

The psalmist testified that it gives a restful night of sleep – Psalm 4:8 (KJV)  I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

The psalmist testified that it brings gladness to the heart – Psalm 4:7 (KJV)  Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

It is indeed profitable that God’s people would take time to meditate upon His Word and thereby be profited by God’s peace. Amen.
