1 John 4:13 We in Him, and He is Us

1 John 4:13 (KJV)  Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 

Our fellowship with God is through the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and we are in Him.

1 John 4:14-15 (KJV)  And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 

Confessing Jesus Christ in a world that rejects Jesus Christ distinguishes the believer from the unbeliever. The presence of God with us through His Spirit protects us from the pathway of sin and teaches us the ways of God.
