Romans 9:6-8 Not All Israel Are Israel

Romans 9:6-8 (KJV)  Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

The Apostle Paul highlighted a startling truth when he said not all Israel are of Israel. It is observed well that not all the descendants of Jacob have the true spirit of the Israelites – Romans 2:28 (KJV)  For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

Not all professing Christians are true practising Christians. He was concerned for His people – Romans 9:3 (KJV)  For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

He began his ministry by reaching out first to the Jews in every city that he visited. He was true to his love for his brethren. Here, he warns of seeing clearly the true brethren, this he showed us not one outwardly but inwardly. A test that is personal, that one examines his or her own heart. Amen.
