Proverbs 10:3 The Righteous Shall Not Famish

Proverbs 10:3 (KJV)  The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

The man who trusts in the LORD is strengthened and taken care of by Him The psalmist rightly observes, Psalm 37:18-19 (KJV)  The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

In the evil time, when there is a lack all around, the people of God are protected and wonderfully cared for – Psalm 37:25-26 (KJV)  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

Whereas the wicked is not filled, all that he may obtain by wicked devices will perish before he could partake and enjoy any of it. Here is the contrast for our learning.

Let us therefore quickly come to the LORD to Him, make right with Him, made righteous by Him. Amen.
