1 Corinthians 15:58 Your Labour Is Not In Vain in the Lord

1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

The knowledge of our effective contribution to the eternal well-being of those around us inspires the Christian to be abounding in the work of the Lord. This victory comes in Christ – 1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV)  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The beginning of wisdom and knowledge comes from the power of the gospel not only to save but to propagate life. And this power is demonstrated by Christ’s resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:22-23 (KJV)  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

There is a reward that Christ brings for the steadfast in the faith who abound in the works of righteousness. May the Lord use His people to be instruments of righteousness for His Name’s sake. Amen.
