Colossians 2:15 Christ Triumphant

Colossians 2:15 (KJV)  And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

The power of darkness was broken by Christ, triumphant through His suffering on the cross even unto death.  When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost (John 19:30 (KJV).

John 17:1-3 (KJV)  These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

The breaking of the power of darkness (spoiled principalities and powers) and giving eternal life to all who come to Him. This is Chrsitianity and the Christian faith.

All praise to our great God and our Christ. Amen.
