Psalm 8:1 How Excellent is Thy Name in All the Earth

Psalm 8:1 (KJV)  To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

The excellent Name of the LORD is extolled to the highest as the psalmist contemplates the care and love of God for His own. The LORD understands the needs of His people and assures us of His care.

Psalm 8:2 (KJV)  Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

There is a contrary factor threatening the people of God whom He knew and He gives the needful wherewithal to handle the wiles of the enemy.

Praise is indeed comely as His people waiting upon Him in worship, godly fear, and adoration. Let the LORD arise to deliver His people. Amen.
