A continuing study of 28 messages from the Book of Romans for the Adult Sunday Class from Chapter 12 to 16 and completed on 5 November 2021.

BHBPC’s 7th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service. The theme was “Let Us Labour that we may enter into that rest” (Hebrews 4:11).

3rd Anniversary of Mandarin Outreach Service with listeners joining in online.

6th Anniversary of YF/YAF was commemorated with the continuing series of messages on the Book of Hebrews.

BHBPC’s 7thAnnual Congregational Meeting was held after worship service with an exhortation from Psalm 96 commending the faith and courage of His people who gathered for worship when churches were allowed to open.

Sunrise Service was held in the Worship Centre at 615am with the message entitled “On Resurrection Morning” taken from Mark 16:1-20.

Praise God for the baptism of Mr. Lee Kim Song (92 years old) witnessed by his wife, two sons and family friends.

The exhortation on Proverbs 31:10-31 entitled “A Virtuous Woman” by Matthew Henry was printed in a pithy 40-page booklet in both English and Mandarin, was given our on Mother’s Day.
- 16-19 June 2021
Our 8th Family Bible Camp was held at the St Regis Hotel with 8 messages based on the theme “Think on These Things” (Philippians 4:8). A booklet on the subject of“Meditation”, a compilation of many Puritan writers was also distributed. Lucas Lek gave the morning devotion on 19 June.

A booklet entitled “A Godly Father” was printed and distributed on Father’s Day. It featured three articles “Leading a Family for Christ” and “Counsel to Reforming Fathers” by Richard Baxter and “A Father’s Prayer” by George Swinnock.

Daily Devotion begins with selected Bible Verses. The first devotion was taken from Proverbs 8:17 entitled “Those That Seek Me Early Shall Find Me”.

A new Blessed Hope Mobile App developed in-house was launched to facilitate access to the latest sermons and daily devotion, podcasts, hymns, weekly newsletters, and the Bible. New features include the “Reading” section that feature works from Christian writers, commentaries and biographies.

A Gospel Rally was held in the Fellowship Hall at 10am (Mandarin) and in the Worship Centre at 3pm (English). The theme was “Jesus Christ and Him Crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2). Thank God for 5 new visitors to the gospel rally and the opportunity to witness to each visitor individually after the service.

Our beloved member, Mdm. Kwan Woon Chun, went home to be with the Lord on 5 September 2021. Nightly Vigil Services were held from 7 to 9 September. The funeral service was held on 10 September. Mdm. Kwan grandson, Horatio Kok, was invited to attend Sunday Class with the help of his uncle Xavier Kok.

Pastoral support rendered for the vigil service and funeral in the home-going of Mdm. Lim Li Ching, the wife of Mr. Joshua Wong.

On Reformation Sunday, the church commemorated the 16th Century Protestant Reformation with a message entitled “Reformation Confessions – Hold Fast the Form of Sound Words” (2 Timothy 1:8-14).

Adult Sunday Class begins the study of the book of 1 Corinthians.

Family Day Retreat was held at Dusit Thani Laguna with the theme “Be of Good Cheer” (John 16:33).

Christmas Praise Service with the message “Glad Tidings of Great Joy” (Luke 2:1-21).

Planner 2022 prepared by Lois Lek was printed and delivered for distribution.

Baptismal Service was conducted. Candidates for baptism – Ang Yong Guan, reaffirmation of faith – Lim Zhuo Yan; transfer of membership – Grace Ho Foong Hui, Kuo Ying Chieh, Zoe Boon Suan Loy.

Year-End Service with message entitled “Watch and Be Sober” (1 Thessalonians 5:1-25).
The year of grace 2021 has been another challenging year. All praise to our Lord for His sustaining grace.
2. 8th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service
God willing, we shall gather on 30 January 2022 for the 8th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service of the Blessed Hope Bible-Presbyterian Church. By the grace of God, He has led the church through this journey of being a witness for Jesus Christ. May the Lord be glorified in our worship of Him. Amen.
