Psalm 147:7, 11 Accepted Praise

Psalm 147:7, 11 (KJV)  Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: … 11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

God accepts the praise of the God-fearer. Such a heart acknowledges God by way of thanksgiving and praise that is pleasing to Him. There is a genuine and sincere heart of consecration and devotion that He sees and blesses.

Indeed, as the psalmist rightly observed in Psalm 147:10 (KJV)  He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

Wisdom and strength are from Him. He bestows them just as He prepares rain for the earth and maketh the grass to grow upon the mountains. Our hope is from Him and comes through Him.

His care for His creatures is infinitely great and meticulously. It behooves us to thank Him gratefully and love Him wholeheartedly. Amen.
