1 Corinthians 15:58 Abounding Labour in the Lord

1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a great motivation to love and good works. Having been set free from the bondage of sin by the power of holiness as attested in the resurrection of Christ. The Scriptures show proof and God’s people by faith appropriate it for life. Alas, this faith comes from God and this love is a heavenly gift.

May the Lord fill us by His Spirit with faith and love this new day. The exhortation to steadfastness and firmness (pertaining to not easily shaken in one’s opinion) and thus immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord is a time redeeming call.

This is only possible through our Lord Jesus Christ, a cause for our thanksgiving to God defeating sin and death, giving us the victory. Abounding, everlasting life as our gift as we abide in Him. Amen.
