Psalm 25:1 Unto Thee, O LORD, I Lift Up My Soul

Psalm 25:1 (KJV)  A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

Resorting to God is true wisdom for life. This is the psalmist’s plea when he was in dire straits. He needed guidance. This was his prayer.

Psalm 25:4-5 (KJV)  Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Not only did he pray to the LORD, his God. He trusted in Him.

Psalm 25:2 (KJV)  O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed …

He acknowledged his helplessness and desolation unless the LORD would help, he is in trouble.

Psalm 25:16 (KJV)  Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

Psalm 25:20 (KJV)  O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

Surely, the LORD has heard his prayers. Amen.
