Psalm 34:19 Afflictions and Assurance

Psalm 34:19 (KJV)  Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. 

The psalmist gives an assurance to the people of God who sought to walk with God according to His will that although afflictions is a good part of that walk yet His power and presence will go with them to deliver them all throughout way.

Such is the strong promise and assurance given to us for our consolation and encouragement so that the people of God will not falter in the face of trials.

Rather the people of God will willingly and cheerfully subsist under His leading. Jesus says to us in John 16:33 (KJV)  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

What comfort and uplifting God gives to His people walking against the grind of this world. This is the strait gate wherein is the narrow way that leadeth to everlasting life. Amen.
