Psalm 104:33-34 Singing, Meditating and Gladness

Psalm 104:33-34 (KJV)  I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

There is a place for praise in the testimony of the believer as the psalmist contemplates God’s presence and provision in his life, seeing God’s care for His creatures and the labour of his hands. God has ordained work for wages by which man sustains himself.

Psalm 104:21 (KJV)  The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.

Psalm 104:28 (KJV)  That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

Psalm 104:29 (KJV)  Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

Psalm 104:23 (KJV)  Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

He is thankful that God’s care has no let-up and he may bless the LORD indeed at all times, resting in Him. As he contemplates upon the LORD, his heart is filled with gladness and pleasantness that he ascribed to the taste. It is sweet. That is the blessed power of meditation in the One Who is our All in All, Christ, the Lord. Amen.
