Hebrews 5:7 Strong Cryings and Tears

Hebrews 5:7 (KJV)  Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

Christ’s sufferings for our sake were accepted because He did so in reverent submission to the Father’s will.

Hebrews 5:8-9 (KJV)  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Romans 8:3 (KJV)  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

“He wept that we might weep;” Each sin demands a tear.”

Jesus wept so that we might find salvation through Him. What sacrifice! Let us meditate and ponder concerning His strong crying and tears for our sake so that we may deeply appreciate the redemption He has wrought for us. Amen.
