Psalm 33:18-20 Our Soul Waiteth for the LORD

Psalm 33:18-20 (KJV)  Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

The LORD is our help and our shield. Even in the time of famine, He is able to deliver the enhungered soul from death. He demonstrates His power for the sake of His own!

The LORD identifies His own as those who fear Him, those who hope in His mercy, and those who waiteth for Him. In other words, those who regard Him, appreciate and love Him.

Let us realize that the watchful eyes of the LORD are upon His own, to care for them, to nourish them and to feed them.

The helpless ones and the shieldless ones are vulnerable in a predatory world. Yet the watchful care of the LORD ensures they thrive.

It is cause for praise, patience and perseverance, to own Him and love Him and serve Him.

May the LORD find us faithful. Amen.
