A new series of 26 messages on the Lord’s Day from Genesis 1-11 entitled “In the Beginning” ending on 27 July 2021.

BHBPC’s 6th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service. The theme was “Faithful Is He that Calleth” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24).

Reprinting of the tract “Will I Get to Heaven” in English and “我会上天堂吗?”in Mandarin. 20,000 copies for each language was printed to replenish our tract supply to speed us along.

5th Anniversary of YF was commemorated with the beginning of a series of messages on the Book of Hebrews.

Mr Lim Wing Kee went home to be with the Lord on 19 February 2020. Vigil services were held on 19 and 20 February. The Funeral and burial were on 21 February 2020.

A series of 8 messages on Evangelism during the Adult Sunday Class that began on 15 December 2019 was completed on 23 February 2020.

A continuing study of 29 messages from the Book of Romans at the Adult Sunday Class from Romans Chapter 9-12 till year end.

Church went on-line for the first time as restrictions on religious services came into effect. Live Webcast Services were conducted from The Upper Room.

Good Friday Service was held for the first time on-line with message entitled “While We Were Yet Sinners, Christ Died for Us” (Romans 5:6-10).

Easter Sunrise Service was held for the first time via Live Webcast from The Upper Room with message entitled “Jesus was Risen” (Mark 16:1-15).

Resumption of worship at the Worship Centre with a cap of 50 worshippers after 13 weeks of on-line services.

  • 5 July 2020

BHBPC’s 6thAnnual Congregational Meeting was held after worship service with an exhortation from Psalm 125:1-2 for the church to continue steadfast trusting in the Lord.

  • 23 September 2020

From 23 September till 16 December 2020, a series of thirteen Special Prayer Meetings were held on Wednesday Prayer Meeting Night to seek the Lord for the needs of the church. The church prayed for God’s guidance on planning for the 2020 Bible camp, the employment needs of His people, the sick and ailing members of the church. Exhortations for 2020 were from the Book of Job.

  • 26 November 2020

A visitation was made to share the gospel with Mr Lim Kim Poh at the hospital. He was stricken with last stage colon cancer. God gave two and a half-hours with him. He believed and confessed the Lord. A second visitation was made on 4 December 2020 to encourage him in his faith from Psalm 23 and 66 Pocket Prayer. A conference call was made with him on 15 December.  He went home to be with the Lord on 22 December. 

  • 9 – 13 December 2020

Mdm Koh Seow Ngoh (Pastor Lek’s grandmother) went home to be with the Lord on 9 December 2020. She was the BHBPC’s oldest member at 96. Vigil Services were held at the Parousia Room of the Garden of Remembrance from 10 to 12 December 2020. The funeral and burial service was held on 13 December 2020.

The 2nd reprint of Revival Hymns and Choruses of 1,000 copies with copyright granted and paid was delivered. The 1st reprint was in 2014.

  • 16 – 18 December 2020

The 7th Family Bible Camp was held from 16 to 18 December 2020 with the theme “Unto Us a Child Is Born” (Isaiah 9:6-7). It was held at Andaz Singapore as a Day Retreat. Camp messages by Pastor Lek. Lucas Lek shared two-morning devotions. 39 attended the camp.

  • 20 December 2020

A Baptismal Service was held on this Lord’s Day. Cher Wee Liat, Cher Wee Lee, Marie Paula Bredemeyer, Boon Kok Fook, Lee Zi Xuan, Jermayne (Daughter of Mr and Mrs Lee Kee Choon) were baptised. Daniel Gossage reaffirmed his faith.

Planner 2021 prepared by Lois Lek was delivered for distribution. 

  • 24 December 2020

The Christmas Praise Service was held at the Worship Centre with a new capacity for 78 worshippers. The message was entitled “Tidings of Great Joy” (Luke 2:1-20).

Ng Ah Pee went home to be with the Lord.

  • 31 December 2020

Year End Service was held at the Worship Centre with the message entitled “For the Testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 1:1-9).

The year of grace 2020 has been a most unusual and extraordinary year. Thank God for His sustaining grace.

Hebrews 10:23-25 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
