Lord’s Day, Vol. 8 No. 26

Thanksgiving for Resumption of Worship

Psalm 29:2Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

This Lord’s Day, 28 June 2020, the church is gathered once again for worship at the Worship Centre. Our last gathering was thirteen weeks ago on 22 March 2020. We thank the Lord that we can be physically gathered in church for worship with safe distancing measures put in place as necessary precautions to safeguard public health.

Safe Entry to Worship Centre

Worshippers will have their temperature taken and to check-in using the Church’s SafeEntry QR Code at the entrance of the Sanctuary.

Individual worshippers are requested to have two seats separating them ensuring a safe distance of 1m. Members living in the same household may sit together.  Alternate rows are to be occupied as a safe distancing measure. We request the physically strong and younger worshippers to be seated at Level 2. The stairs nearest to the entrance of the Worship Centre will be used as “Level 2 Entrance” and stairs further away near the PA system will be used as “Exit”.

The ushers will not be bringing the offering bags to you. The “offering bags stands” are placed in the middle of the two aisles. When the offertory hymn begins, we request   worshippers to walk orderly to the “offering bag stand” nearest to you to present your offering, maintaining at least 1 metre apart at all times, beginning with the front rows of the three sections of the sanctuary.

Shortened Order of Worship

Due to the risk of virus transmission, we shall not sing but meditate upon the hymn as the musician renders the music.

1 Chronicles 16:10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

Thank God that we can be protected by wearing a mask at all times during the worship service. We understand that it may not be comfortable for some to be wearing a mask for a prolonged period of time. As such, we would shorten the order of worship for the well-being of our worshippers during this period.

As a safety measure, we are to refrain from mingling among worshippers, before, during or after worship service.

Orderly Exit

At the end of the worship service, we would request worshippers to follow an orderly exit procedure beginning with the back row nearest to the exit, followed by the back row in the next section further from the exit. Worshippers in Level 2 will exit only after all the worshippers in Level 1 have exited from the Worship Centre, at the cue of the ushers. We should leave immediately after worship.

Submit Attendance Form

Prior registration is requested for the following week’s worship before 9 pm  on Saturday to facilitate planning to receive worshippers.

Scriptural guide for blessed worship:

1 Corinthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Let us pray fervently for the Lord’s blessings. Amen.

Yours loving,

Pastor Lek Aik Wee
