Revelation 8:7; All Green Grass Burnt Up

Revelation 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

It was on the third day of life in the universe when God brought forth the green grass and trees upon the earth.

Genesis 1:11-12 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, andthe fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed isin itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, andherb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed wasin itself, after his kind: and God saw that it wasgood.

This is the first record in v7 of the tragedy that all green grass will be burnt up. It was God who first created and it is He Who will also cause all green grass to be burnt up.

Man dwelling on earth has totally rejected their Creator and persecuted His saints who lisp His fame. God’s men were silenced. God is not mocked. He rises in judgment as the blood of the martyrs cries out from the earth for justice.

Imagine waking up to a world in flames with every green grass burnt up. The last words of the Apostle Peter provided the warning that all men everywhere may repent and acknowledge their Creator for there shall be time no more.

2 Peter 3:7-10 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Dear readers, are you ready? The Lord’s return is nigh, even at the doors. It may be today. Let us watch and pray! Amen.
