Revelation 3:10b-13; Rewards for the Faithful Church

Revelation 3:10-13 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

…I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

This is the promise that such a church will not have to endure the ravages when God would judge the world in the Great 7-year Tribulation described in Rev. 6-19. The church is to be protected from the trial that is to come upon the earth.

Not only that in verse 9 do we see that they would be delivered from the ravages of their enemies.

Verse 9 …behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown (reward). 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out:

2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Faith means Bible Doctrine. The faith is based on the Words of God. If we have a wrong copy of the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek Words, we cannot keep the faith. That is how we have our English King James Bible.

Paul said I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7).

This is the commendation for this church in Philadelphia. Amen.
