2 Corinthians 13:14; God With You All

2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. The second epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi, a city of Macedonia, by Titus and Lucas.

It was John Newton who wrote this rendition of the Apostle Paul benediction to the Corinthian Church to the tune Sardis by Ludwig van Beethoven.

May the Grace of Christ Our Saviour

May the grace of Christ our Saviour,
And the Father’s boundless love,
With the Holy Spirit’s favour,
Rest upon us from above.

Thus may we abide in union,
With each other and the Lord,
And possess, in sweet communion,
Joys which earth cannot afford.

What blessing it is for God’s people resting in the protective care and love of our Almighty care. Amen.
