Recounting with Thanksgiving
It is with thanksgiving that we recount God’s blessings for the year of grace 2018:
(a) 1 January 2018
Thank God for the beginning of the Study of the Book of Proverbs both in our devotions and during the Lord’s Day sermons.
(b) 7 January 2018
Youth Fellowship’s 3rd Anniversary was commemorated with the message “Let No Man Despise Thy Youth” 1 Timothy 4:12; Revelation 1:3.
(c) 28 January 2018
“Now Thank We All Our God” was the theme for our blessed 4th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service. The message from 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 – The Church Before the Throne of Grace , The Church Persevering in Her Witness by Pastor Lek.

Inaugural Mandarin Gospel Outreach Service began at 10 am in the Keith Barrage Room.
The logo for our Mandarin Service “Blessed Hope Hall” in Chinese is “福望堂” was also launched. God saved two souls Mr and Mrs Chan Choon Shoung. Mr Chan went home to be with the Lord on 1 February 2018. Mrs Chan attended the inaugural service with her son Mr Chan Hong Kiat.

BHBPC’s 4thAnnual Congregational Meeting was held after worship service with an exhortation from Acts 1:8-14 that the church may continue with one accord in prayer and supplication that the Holy Spirit may provide the guidance in fulfilling the Great Commission.
(f) 1 April 2018
Sunrise Service held at the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club. The message was taken from Luke’s account of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ in Luke 24:1-12.

Thank God for the new addition to the Amazing Grace Family Devotional Series of the Gospel of Mark Vol. 1, extracted and edited from J.C. Ryle’s Expository Thoughts on Mark published by Blessed Hope Bible-Presbyterian Church.

Inaugural Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) at the home of Guo Ying Chieh on the topic of “Christian Marriage” with the prayer there will be mutual encouragement of those in the same age group coming to pray together and study God’s Word (Hebrew 10:25; Galatians 6:2; 2 Peter 3:18).

BHBPC’s 5thFamily Bible Camp with the theme “By Prayer and Supplication” (Phil. 4:6), was held at the Amara Sanctuary Resort Hotel in Sentosa. 61 attended the camp.
(j) 1 July 2018
The Lord provided The Upper Room on level 2 for our Mandarin Outreach on Sunday morning, Youth Meeting, Young Adult Fellowship, Youth Sunday School class and Choir practice Bible Study on Thursday afternoon for our Mandarin Outreach and an adjacent room for the pastor’s office.

Thank God for the conversion of the basement office into BHBPC’s very own Noah’s Ark Library and Book Room.

A Gospel Rally with the theme “Come Unto Me” (Matt. 11:28) was held during Lord’sDay Service at 3 pm.

A blessed Baptismal Service with the theme “O Happy Day!” (Acts 22:16) was held with the baptism of Mrs. Rachel Chan (Mdm. Ng Oy Cook), Mrs. Shyan Campos Lim, Lee Khiak Khiam. Christine Lim Bee Leng, Marjorie Tow Le Min (Mrs. Chang), Chang Ye Ching, Miguel Campos Gaspar, Hoo Fooi Yeen, (Mrs. Lim), Lily Tan (Mrs. Tow Siang Hong) were received into the membership of BHBPC.

Thank God for a blessed Family Day at the Amara Sanctuary Resort Hotel in Sentosa with 38 participants. The theme “… And There Jesus Prayed” (Mark 1:35).
