1 Corinthians 12:28, Thirdly Teachers
1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV) 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
The church is gifted with teachers so that the people of God may be instructed in the things of God. The teachers of God’s Word is given the wisdom to communicate the truth so that the people of God may be able to understand the good will of God and walk therein, that they may be blessed of God.
The church is the ground and pillar of truth. The oracles of God is entrusted to the church. The Old and New Testament Scriptures represent the voice of God to the world. The church has the responsibility to learn it and live it so that the world may see and find the way to God. The teachers have the godly duty to impart the truth so that the people of God may imbibe it. It is a sacred mandate.
May the Lord bless the instruction of His Word through godly teachers to the strengthening and building up of His flock. Amen.
