Romans 10:1, Prayer to God for Israel

Romans 10:1 (KJV) 1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

The Apostle Paul expressed his heart’s desire that Israel might be saved. He interceded for them at the throne of grace. He must have Jewish relatives and friends out the kingdom of God. He also experienced the many rejections when he tried to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. He committed their salvation in God’s hand as he pleaded for God’s mercy upon them at the throne of grace.

We have loved ones and friends outside God’s kingdom. Let us pray for them. Have you been praying for years now and there is still no change? May we continue to pray, trusting God. Pray and not faint and wait upon Him. God grant us patience. Pray also to be a sanctifying influence to the presence of God in their lives. To witness that God is real. He is a good God that helps His people.

Lord crucified give me a heart like Thine

Teach me to love the dying souls of men

And keep my heart in closest touch with Thee,

And give me love, pure Calv’ry’s love,

To bring the lost to Thee.

May the Lord help us to bring loved ones and friends to the church’s Good Friday Gospel Service on 25 March 2016 at 5-6.30pm. Amen.
